Sævild festival is an intimate co-creation festival which started amongst friends in 2022. Since then, the group of friends has grown, and although most people at the festival still come from the Bergen community, we have had people coming from all over the country and world to join our cozy festival.
This will be our fourth year, and after a lot of feedback from people wanting the magic to last longer, we have decided to prolong the festival, so that we have six days to connect and share our love, knowledge, playfulness, eat together, create meaningful connections and grow in community.
A safe container
We want to create the safest container possible for you to explore connections with others and the connection to yourself. We have an opening ceremony, that lets us all connect, see each other and get to know each other, and a closing ceremony to properly close the space, fill it with love and say heartfelt goodbyes. This is a full journey, and everyone who comes is in for it all.
We are a substance-free festival, and in our experience, this makes the connecting feel so powerful and safe. This is a safe place to be yourself and relax into healing community.
Co-creation
We create a solid foundation for beautiful things to happen, but in the true spirit of co-creation, the festival and vibe depends on our collective energies, creativities, wisdom, talents, playfulness and more! Come join in with what you want to give and share! The workshops, music, open-mic will never be the same from year to year, and we absolutely love the energy and creativity that has been shared so far! We can’t wait to see and experience the continuation!
Inclusivity, love and respect
Everyone is welcome at our festival, please don’t worry if you don’t know anyone from before, this is a lovely place to come without knowing anyone! It is very important to us that everyone is kind and respectful towards others, believes that we all have equal worth, and is mindful around consent and boundaries. We are so happy to witness the love and inclusivity that unfolds every year, and we are so excited to see what happens now that we get two extra days to lean even deeper into the co-created energy.
Location
Our festival is held at a beautiful farm in Samnanger, just outside Bergen. It’s hard to describe the beauty of the area, or capture it in images, it has to be experienced! Surrounded by mountains, being by a lovely lake, having access to a floating sauna, with a wilderness spa close by. We would love to write more, but we really do think the magic should be experienced in real life. This is a place that makes you want to leave your phone behind and be fully present.
Non-profit
We are non-profit, and all funds go back into the festival in one way or another. Whether it is through creating new or improved structures for the festival, funding cheaper tickets for some who struggle financially, making sure we have more locally sourced, ethical food etc.
We want to make the world a slightly better place with our festival ❤️
