Being non-profit

Some facts about us: 

 1. Sævild Festival is a non-profit organisation which implies that it operates for the public benefit and do not distribute profits to owners or shareholders. Instead, any surplus funds generated are invested into the organization’s mission or activities. 

 2. In 2023 we would go 6.000 NOK in minus if it wasnt for the funds we suddenly received from our sposors- Sparebanken Vest and Samnanger Kommune. We recieved confirmation right before the festival (SK) and during the festival (SBV) which made us so happy! Having the funds give us a lot better start in 2024 and make our operations a lot more sustainable. 

 3. In 2023, 40 volunteers attended four dugnad-weekends between March and June. Together we built the festival kitchen, the dome, two outdoor toilet, one outdoor shower. Together we also redesigned the scene and created decorations. 

 4. The planning team of 8 people had been working since January to plan the festival. We spent countless hours coordinating the festival and making sure that festival participants will have the best time 🙂
